Falanai Ala, retired Facilities Project Manager, Long Beach Unified School is President Emeritus of NPIEN. Falanai was a great enthusiast of this program and dedicated many hours speaking to students in an effort to encourage them to set high college and career goals.

The program features professionals from the Pacific Islander community and other supporters who provide positive role modeling and mentoring through visits to schools: Career Day programs, assemblies, read-aloud programs and other classroom visits. Over 1,000 students participate annually.
