The Late Salamasina (Sala) Auelua, Cajon High School Counselor, San Bernardino City Unified School District was honored in 2018 by NPIEN for her service as a School Counselor. For years she was one of the only Pacific Islanders serving as a School Counselor. She had just retired in March 2021. She served the Inland Empire community in whatever way she could with kindness, compassion, and generosity. She approached the students she served with the same passionate nature. She was always willing to collaborate and do whatever needed to be done to help all students succeed
